On Park Avenue September 9 – November 30, 2021 It has been over twenty years since George Rickey (1907–2002) installed the first public sculpture on Park Avenue, starting a tradition that has continued with work by various renowned artists.‍ This year Rickey returns to New York with nine sculptures on Park Avenue and three works in the Kasmin Sculpture Garden adjacent to The High Line, making this the largest ever multi-site exhibition of the artist's monumental works in the city. Elliott Hundley: Balcony

Taking its inspiration from Jean Genet’s 1957 play, The Balcony, the exhibition consists of ten large scale panels as well as a suspended sculpture that together epitomize the artist’s distinctive mixed-media compositional style. Stuart Davis in Havana

Curated by Priscilla Vail Caldwell in collaboration with Earl Davis and the Estate of Stuart Davis, the exhibition also presents a trove of archival material documenting the artist’s trip including postcards, lottery tickets, and the painter’s passport. May 4 – August 13, 2021 Kasmin Sculpture Garden Kasmin is delighted to announce an upcoming exhibition of work by sculptor Alma Allen (b. 1970) spanning two of the gallery’s locations in Chelsea, New York. On view from May 4, 2021, the presentation in the Kasmin Sculpture Garden constitutes the artist’s first ever exhibition dedicated to large-scale outdoor sculpture. The exhibition continues at 514 West 28th Street with over twenty small-scale bronzes—works that function as both articulations of the polymorphous nature of Allen’s sculptural alphabet and as proposals for future large-scale works. By contextualizing these works amongst one another, the presentation demonstrates the variety of embodied forms that find expression through the artist’s hand. View More
